If you have found a lost animal please follow the steps to ensure the animal's safety and find their home if possible. (if you've found a wild animal please contact: Willamette Wildlife Rehabilitation Center on Crest Dr. in Eugene at (541)485-8440.
1. Please check for any identification on the animal that could give you any information. Your local vet can also scan the animal for a microchip.
2. If the animal is injured and needs medical attention, take the animal to your local vet or contact The Emergency Veterinary Hospital at 746-0112 located at 103 'Q' St. in Springifeld. They are open 24 hours a day. If you qualify you can also contact Stray Cat Alliance for financial support. Contact Deana Kuhn at fixcats@hotmail.com or call 541 607-4219.
3. If detaining the animal until a home is found, be sure to keep them away from all other pets in your household to minimize the spreading of any illnesses.
4. Call your local humane society or government agency to check if any lost reports have been filed matching the description of the animal you've found. Here is a list:
